- The purpose and format of the 3 main financial statements:
- The income statement,
- The statement of financial position and
- The cashflow statement
- The presentation and reporting requirements of financial information i.e. the statutory accounts
- Reviewing (at a macro level) the regulatory, business and commercial information contained within the Annual Report and Accounts of a well-known FTSE 100 company
- Practically interpreting the financial statements by way of ratio analysis – and reviewing the profitability, funding and liquidity of the FTSE 100 company
- Relating all learning, as applicable, to the legal sector and law firms
Outcomes:
The success measures of this course are:
- Improving understanding of the key performance criteria for a FTSE 100 company;
- Improving understanding of and ability to interpret the financial statements; and
- Acquiring greater confidence when required to research financial information and/or discussing those areas with external or internal clients
