About this course:

Objectives: 
The objectives of this course are to:
  • Provide trainees with a basic understanding of the principles of good draftsmanship
  • Show how the overriding objective is achieved in terms of the rules on Statements of Case contained in the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
  • Allow trainees to gain confidence in their ability to draft Statements of Case through exercises focused on statements of case and further information

  • Are able to draft their own particulars of claim, defence and requests for further information (and replies thereto), and evaluate drafts prepared by others, e.g. counsel
